Leaving a bequest in your will is a simple and meaningful way to create a legacy.

Your bequest can either be a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate. You may designate your gift for a particular purpose or for the general purposes of Hillel.

Specific bequests allow you to designate a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your total estate, or specified property or other assets as a gift to Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life.

Sample language:
I bequeath the sum of $ _____ [or a specified property or other asset] to Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, located in Washington, D.C., to be used for its general purposes [or for a particular program or purpose].

Residual bequests allow you to give all or a portion of the remaining residue of your estate as a gift to Hillel, after the payment of all expenses and specific bequests to other beneficiaries have been made.

Sample language:
I bequeath to Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, located in Washington, D.C., the rest and residue of my estate [or ___%] to be used for its general purposes [or for a particular program or purpose].
